Ford Figo

Built on Ford’s latest global platform, the all-new Figo is an able and worthy successor to one of Ford’s most well-known and trusted nameplates in India. Available in six trims– Base, Ambiente, Trend, Trend Plus, Titanium and Titanium Plus – the customers can choose from three fuel efficient, powerful and responsive engines – 1.2-litre TiVCT, 1.5-litre TDCi and 1.5-litre TiVCT. With an introductory price of  Rs 4.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Ford Figo takes on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10. The new-gen Figo launched in September 2015, priced at almost Rs 35,000 less than the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Swift. Further, the new-gen Figo now looks more premium than the predecessor. It now shares most of its design elements, features, and engine options with the Aspire sedan. With the first-in-class 6 airbags, dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the most powerful engine lineup, the Figo is also the most feature-loaded car in its league. 


Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Maruti Suzuki Swift has been the life blood for the maker. The compact car was first launched in 2005, since then the company has tweaked certain changes in the car, making it more sporty and performance driven. The Swift recently also got upgraded with new trims, which comes with dual airbags and ABS as an option in all variants. The Swift petrol makes 84.3PS and 115Nm from a 1.2-litre mill. This one comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Manesar based car maker also has the famous 1.3-litre diesel unit too on offer. This unit produces 75PS and 190Nm. All the power is sent to the front wheels with the help of a 5-speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki doesn’t have an automatic option in the Swift. Recently, Maruti Suzuki had launched a limited edition Swift Glory, which boasts a number of features like stylish floating roof, custom styling kit, racing themed interiors and striped body graphics give this car a sporty look and feel. Further, the automaker has now made the Swift a safer car with the recent introduction of dual airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) across all variants of Swift.


Hyundai Grand i10

The Grand i10 is essentially an Indianised version of the new i10 which was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Smartly positioned between the existing i10 and i20, the new Grand i10 is the fifth hatchback model from Hyundai's stable. wo engine options will be available, including Hyundai’s tried-and-tested 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. The other engine option is a new 1.1-litre three-cylinder diesel, christened the U2 CRDi. The new Grand i10 is available in four variants each, in a total of eight colours. A five-speed manual gearbox is standard fitment on both. Priced between Rs 4.6 lakh and Rs 6.3 lakh, the Grand i10 is positioned between i10 and i20, and is targeted at the young professional aged between 25-35 years. The Grand i10 offers host of advance and high-tech features like smart key with push button start and stop for key less entry and exit and ignition onoff, auto folding outside mirrors which automatically opens and folds when car is unlocked and locked. On the safety and security, Grand comes with host of active and passive safety features like dual air bags, ABS, central locking, engine immobilizer and rear parking sensor.
