The recently launched Hyundai i20 Active Crossover will battle it out with the likes of Toyota Cross, Fiat Avventura and the Volkswagen Cross Polo. Now we have tried to sneak in a quick comparison of how the new crossover from the stable of Hyundai might fancy over its competitors in terms of key specifications and features.



Hyundai i20 Active


Hyundai Motor India launched the Hyundai i20 Active crossover with prices starting from Rs 638,586 for the base petrol and Rs 763, 228 for the base diesel. The Hyundai i20 Active is designed with Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy and features projector headlamps with LED day time running lamps and positioning lamps, fog lamps, skid plates with tusk bar, front air dam with two-tone front bumper, glossy black finish C pillar, roof rails, diamond cut 16-inch alloy wheels, side molding and cladding and chrome door handles. Inside the cabin it comes with automatic AC, rear AC vents, glove cooling box, engine start and stop button, console armrest with storage box, aluminum pedals, height adjustable driver seat, multifunction steering wheel, front and rear door arm rest, integrated 2-DIN music system, Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary input connectivity with 8-speaker system.




Fiat Avventura


Premiered at the Delhi Auto Expo, Fiat is finally ready with its Punto Evo-based crossover to be launched tomorrow. The crossover will be rolled in the market in three trims Active, Dynamic and Emotion and in both petrol and diesel options. As for the engines, the petrol version of Avventura will get 1.4-litre engine, which can pump in a power of 90 PS and a peak torque 115Nm, whereas the diesel model of the car will get power from the the 1.3-litre multijet motor that can churn out 95 PS of power and 208Nm of peak torque. While the petrol Avventura is likely to give a fuel efficiency of 14.4 kmpl, the diesel model of the crossover is expected to give a return of 20.5 kmpl. Both the engines will come coupled to a five-speed manual transmission.



Toyota Etios Cross


The new Toyota Etios Cross is available in a 1.5-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.4-litre D-4D diesel engine. This first crossover vehicle from Toyota is positioned as a youthful yet rugged offering and will come equipped with features such as grille guard, side cladding, diamond cut alloys, roof rails, bold front grille, rear cladding with badging and roof spoiler, fog lamps with integrated turn indicators, ORVMs with turn indicators, rear defogger with wiper, piano black interiors, seat fabric with white stitch and logo, 2 DIN audio with Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in, steering mounted audio controls, dual front SRS airbags and ABS with EBD.



Volkswagen Cross Polo


Cross Polo is equipped with a 1.2-litre TDI engine with a maximum power output of 75 PS@ 4200rpm and a maximum torque of 180 Nm @ 2000 rpm with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the Cross Polo is packed with loads of features never seen before on this model.The Volkswagen Cross Polo flaunts new bumpers, body cladding, roof rails, new alloy wheels, Livon titanium black upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel, gearshift knob and handbrake lever handle, chrome interior trim, 2-Din RCD 320 music system with USB, Aux-in, SD Card, Bluetooth and 4 speakers, ABS and dual frontal airbags.
