HMIL-October-Sales-Output

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), India’s No.2 car maker and the No.1 passenger car exporter has touched cumulative sales of 50,212 units for the month of October 2013, a sharp fall of 14.6 per cent overall. The domestic sales accounted for 36,002 counts, a nominal increase of .6 per cent while the exports stood at 14,210 units. The export front took a plunge of of over 38 per cent. However, the latest sales output was much better than the September, 2013 figure when it managed to sell a total of 51,418 cars.

 

Commenting on October sales Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “In this challenging market environment, sales have increased over last month by 17 per cent on account of monsoons, festival buying and strong sales of 11,519 units of new model Grand which received an overwhelming customer response making it to the top five volume sellers within 2 months of its launch.”
