Ford India is gearing up to launch the new Endeavour on January 20, 2016. In the meantime, the American carmaker has announced the technical specifications and trim levels of the new Ford Endeavour ahead of the market launch.
The new Ford Endeavour will be available in two trim levels – Trend and Titanium – with a choice of two engines and gearboxes along with the option of all-wheel drive.
The first powertrain doing duty on the new Ford Endeavour is a 2.2-litre TDCi diesel engine displacing 2198 cc. It delivers 160 PS of maximum power at 3200 rpm and peak torque of 385 Nm between 1600 to 2500 rpm.
The second engine offered in the new Endeavour is the 3.2-litre TDCi diesel mill displacing 3198 cc. The engine produces 200 PS of maximum power at 3000 rpm and 470 Nm of peak torque between 1750 and 2500 rpm.
The 2.2-litre unit is mated to a choice of a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox while the larger 3.2-litre motor will be paired with the 6-speed automatic gearbox only. All-wheel drive comes as optional on the 2.2-litre variants while it is offered as standard on the 3.2-litre trims.
The new Ford Endeavour comes equipped with ABS, traction control, dual airbags, hill-start assist, 8-way power adjustable front seats, Ford MyKey, Ford SYNC infotainment system with touchscreen and voice control, CD/MP3 player, Bluetooth and auxiliary connectivity with steering-mounted controls, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, powered tail-gate and rear parking sensors.
The all-wheel-drive model, in addition, will offer hill descent control and Ford’s Terrain Management System. The top-of-the-line 3.2-litre Titanium trim will come equipped with features such as LED daytime-running lamps, LED tail-lamps, seven airbags, automatic headlamps, ambient lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system and front parking sensors.
All models will get a seven-seat layout with split folding second and third rows along with reclining and sliding functions for the second row.
The new Ford Endeavour will be available with six colour options – Smoke Grey, Sunset Red, Golden Bronze, Diamond White, Moondust Silver and Panther Black.

Ford India closed the year 2016 with an encouraging 34 percent growth in combined domestic wholesales and exports. Combined domestic wholesales and exports in 2016 stood at 238,098 vehicles compared to 176,858 units in 2015. Domestic wholesales in the year reached 86,460 vehicles compared to 77,715 while exports rose to 151,638 vehicles from 99,143 units for the same period.
Ford Indias combined domestic wholesales and exports grew to 21,004 vehicles in November in comparison to 17,189 vehicles in November 2015.
