As a SUV lover always had my sight on the XUV since it launched. When i moved to Delhi at the end of Jan felt the need to buy a new car and XUV it was. Overall sales experience was pleasant minus the very run down test drive vehicle from 2 different dealers. The W8 is loaded with features and the list can go endless with touch screen integrated music, Navigation, different modes of music including Ipods, bluetooth streaming from your phone, USB, CD other than the radio. The DVD also works when the vehicle is stationary. The gadgetry also extends to the tyre pressure monitor, service alert, Sync function to control electronics from an android phone etc. The list is endless and is VFM for this range. The XUV does have a great presence on the road and the drive quality is good. It is stable at high speeds and you feel comfortable stretching it to higher speeds. The best i have done is about 165 on the yamuna expressway. Didnt push it beyond it though it surely can go further up on the speedo. Seats are comfortable with height adjust and lumbar support. The arm rest with a in built cooler is very handy and comfortable during long rides. The only negative or con which i feel is the braking. Considering the size of the vehicle it doesnt give much confidence when braking at higher speeds. The distance to absolute stop is much higher and the same needs to be kept in mind if you are migrating from a smaller hatch which pretty much stops where you desire to. Space is abundant and the AC is very effective to make your drive comfortable. Overall am very happy with the purchase. Just clocked about 1100 kms. These are first impressions and loads of miles to clock before the next review.
