bmw 1 series launch

 

BMW India has launched the all new 1 Series at the price of Rs 20.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India unveiled the BMW 1 Series at Mumbai in the presence of cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar and FIA GT1 World Championship race driver from India, Armaan Ebrahim.

 

Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “The all-new BMW 1 Series stands out from the crowd on the busiest of roads with a refreshingly independent and modern appearance as well as sporty proportions. The breathtaking agility and sophisticated functionality make it the perfect car for people who are passionate about driving and want to make their mark. But above all, its distinctive character makes it a symbol of a contemporary, urban lifestyle.”

 

The all-new BMW 1 Series is locally produced at the BMW Plant Chennai and is available in two engine options - petrol (BMW 116i) and diesel (BMW 118d, BMW 118d Sport and BMW 118d Sport Plus). Both these powerplants are mated to an eight speed automatic transmission.

A genuine eye-catcher with a real presence, the all-new BMW 1 Series will definitely stir up the premium car segment,” added Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India.
 

All models of the all-new BMW 1 Series feature the ECO PRO mode as standard, enabling reduced fuel consumption. Using the Driving Experience Control switch, the driver is able to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions. (ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus).

 

The BMW 118d Sport and BMW 118d Sport Plus will come with red-black accents and 'BMW Sport' entry sills, sports seats, a leather steering wheel with contrasting red stitching, a red chronoscale speedometer and electric glass roof as standard features.

 

The all-new BMW 1 Series is available in two non-metallic paintworks - Alpine White and Crimson Red and six metallic paintworks - Black Sapphire, Deep Sea Blue, Glacier Silver, Midnight Blue, Mineral Grey and Valencia Orange.

 

The all India ex-showroom prices are as follows –

The BMW 116i : Rs 20,90,000

The BMW 118d : Rs 22,90,000

The BMW 118d Sport : Rs 25,90,000

The BMW 118d Sport Plus : Rs 29,90,000
