Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has added another model to its motorcycles portfolio in India with the launch of the CB Unicorn 160 with prices starting from Rs 69,350 for the standard variant and Rs 74,414 for the CBS variant  (ex-showroom, Delhi).


Keita Muramatsu - President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “The New CB Unicorn 160 is Honda’s fourth launch of 2014 after Activa 125, CD110 and Gold Wing. With this launch, Honda is further strengthening its portfolio in 150cc-180cc motorcycle segment, designed to woo the youth. 2014 has been an action-packed year for Honda, where we have scaled new milestones like achieving 19 million sales this week. We look forward to carry this momentum into the New Year.”


In a statement released to the press, Honda has stated that the CB Unicorn 160 is targeted at India’s youth population aged between 25-35 years and has been conceptualized keeping the youth in mind.

Powered by Honda Eco Technology (HET), the all new 163cc mid-sized Honda engine has long stroke which means extra torque and higher fuel efficiency. It is also equipped with weight balancer which reduces the vibrations. The Honda CB Unicorn 160 boasts of an ARAI-ratified mileage of 62 kmpl.


The Honda CB Unicorn 160 comes with wide handle turning angle and short radius that can maneuver the sharpest of turns. During dense traffic requiring frequent gear shifts, full gear lever helps make riding convenient.


Combi-Brake System (CBS) significantly reduces the stopping distance giving the rider full confidence to enjoy the optimum speed without worrying about the brake operation. The mono shock suspension helps in maintaining the center of gravity thus increasing the stability while taking sharp turns. The improved and upright sitting posture of the motorcycle adds a renewed comfort level for everyday riding.


The Honda CB Unicorn 160 comes in 4 colour schemes - Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Black, Geny Grey Metallic and Sunbeam White and is available for sale in two variants– Standard and CBS.
