Honda Cars India launched the third generation Honda Jazz in Kolkata. The All new Jazz is available in both diesel and petrol fuel options, price of the petrol trim starts from Rs 546,900, while price of the diesel variant starts from Rs 667,900.

 

The diesel variant comes loaded with 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine exclusively for the Indian market which delivers a maximum power of 100 PS at 3600 rpm and maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. It has been mated to a newly developed 6-speed manual transmission that is light, compact, and attains top class transmission efficiency to deliver a pleasant and fun to drive experience along with an excellent fuel economy. The petrol variant of the Jazz is powered with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that delivers a maximum power of 90 PS at 6000 rpm and a torque of 110 Nm at 4800 rpm. The petrol variant also comes with 5 speed manual transmission..

                                         

“The diesel trim of the New Jazz will offer segment leading fuel economy of 27.3kmpl, while its petrol counterpart will deliver segment leading fuel efficiency of 19 kmpl and is more efficient than any Manual in its segment. It is the only car in its segment to be equipped with steering-wheel-mounted unique dual mode ‘Paddle Shift’ option,” said Hiroyuki Shimizu, Director, Senior Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India, during the launch of the Third Generation Jazz, in Kolkata.

 

The all new Jazz has been developed at Honda’s R&D Centre located in Tochigi, Japan and is available in five grades offered in petrol and diesel variants- E, S, SV, V and VX with manual transmission. Additionally, the Jazz will be available in CVT in S and V petrol variants.

 

The new Honda Jazz is available in seven exterior colour schemes – sunset orange (new), carnelian red pearl, orchid white pearl, golden brown metallic, urban titanium metallic, alabaster silver metallic and taffeta white. Further, the Third Gen Jazz will come with a two-year or 40,000 Km warranty as standard value for all customers.
