Honda-Mobilio

 

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) today announced its entry into the MPV segment with the launch of its mid-size 7-seater Honda Mobilio with prices starting at Rs 6,49,000 for the base petrol and Rs 7,89,000 for the base diesel trim.

 

Honda Mobilio has been developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. located in Bangkok, Thailand following market surveys in India on people’s driving needs and lifestyles.

 

The Honda Mobilio MPV will be powered by 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel and 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engines known to provide a blend of performance and efficiency.

 

The 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 100 PS at 3600 rpm and peak torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm with a fuel economy of 24.2 kmpl (ARAI).

 

The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine is also mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The powerplant delivers a maximum power of 119 PS at 6600 rpm and peak torque of 145 Nm at 4600 rpm returning a fuel economy of 17.3 kmpl (ARAI).

 

In order to appeal to younger audience who look for high style quotient, the Honda Mobilio will also be available in an exclusive sporty RS variant which has bolder and sportier exterior design than base grade. The deliveries for the Mobilio RS would begin from September 2014.

The Honda Mobilio is available in three trim levels in petrol and diesel variants – E, S and V. The sportier Mobilio RS variant will be available in diesel only.

 

Honda Mobilio will be available in a range of seven exterior colours – Brilliant Gold Metallic (new), Carnelian Red Pearl, Majestic Blue Metallic, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White and Crystal Black Pearl (exclusive to RS).

 

It comes with a 2 years or 40,000 kms warranty as standard.
