Hyundai Motor India Ltd. today launched its much awaited SUV – Creta with prices starting from Rs 859,558 for the base petrol and Rs 946,939 for the base diesel.
The Hyundai Creta will be offered with three engine options – 1.6-litre Gamma Dual VTVT petrol, 1.6-litre U2 CRDi VGT (MT/AT) diesel and 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. The Creta will be available in 10 variants (three in petrol and seven in diesel) and seven exterior colour schemes.
Based on Hyundai’s evolved ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 Design philosophy’, Creta is a dynamic in appearance and offers comfort, safety and efficiency.

The Hyundai Creta features 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps, LED positioning lamps, static bending, roof rails and skid plates, door scuff plates, triple slat chrome radiator grille, and A-pillar piano black finish.
On the inside, the Hyundai Creta comes equipped with premium leather seats, fully automatic temperature control with cluster ionizer, electric folding ORVMs, rear AC vents, smart key with push button start, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, rear seat centre armrest with cup-holders, front console armrest with storage box and 1 GB internal memory.
Hyundai Creta uses next generation infotainment system for effortless connectivity for all gadgets and devices. The SUV’s multimedia system boasts of 7-inch Audio Video Navigation (AVN) and with 6-speakers sound system. The AVN system features advance touch interface, user friendly maps, video playing and image viewing capability through USB, Bluetooth support and rear camera display. Adding to the entertainment package is an option of 5-inch touch screen audio system that features auxiliary-input, IPod, USB, MP3, CD, and Bluetooth support.
The 1.6-litre Gamma Dual VTVT petrol engine boasts of an ARAI-ratified mileage of 15.29 kmpl, while the 1.6-litre U2 CRDi VGT (MT/AT) diesel engine claims 19.67 kmpl (MT) and 17.01 kmpl (AT) respectively. The 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine promises to deliver 21.38 kmpl as per ARAI certification.
In terms of safety, the Hyundai Creta features 6 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), reverse parking camera with steering adaptive guidelines and sensors, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Start Assist control (HAC), and front fog lamps.
