BMW-M5

German luxury carmaker BMW has launched the new BMW M5 in India. The new BMW M5 is available at BMW dealerships across India as a CBU (Completely Built-Up) unit in a petrol variant at an all India ex-showroom price of Rs 13,540,000.

The new BMW M5 is driven by the M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine. This is the most powerful of all the BMW production engines and is distinguished by its enormous performance, power delivery, running smoothness and free-revving character. And when the new BMW M5 accelerates, with its torque of up to 680Nm, it takes your breath away with the output of 560 PS. The boost in performance pushes the new BMW M5 from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds.

The seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission with Cruise Control provides higher shifting and driving comfort through finely tuned gearing and seamless gear changes. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.

The shift paddles on the M leather steering wheel put the seven gears of the M Double Clutch transmission with Drivelogic right there at your fingertips – for absolute control.

The new BMW M5 comes equipped with safety features such as air bags, Active M Differential, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including M Dynamic mode, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Active Protection with Attentiveness Assistant and Active headrests (front).

The new BMW M5 is available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in the following seven metallic paintworks: Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Monte Carlo Blue, Sakhir Orange, Silverstone, Singapore Grey and Space Grey. The standard Leather Merino upholstery is available with extended contents in Black, Sakhir Orange and Silverstone colour combinations. Interior trims offered are Fine-wood Trim Ash Grain Brown and Fine-wood Trim Fineline Anthracite with highlight trim finishers Aluminium Trace.

Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “Power delivery, torque, driving dynamics: the new BMW M5 embodies pure athleticism. Conventional rules do not apply to the new BMW M5. An independent production of BMW M GmbH, it remains faithful to the M philosophy, perfectly combining high performance with optimum everyday practicality. An uncompromising presence, a natural leader, it conquers every challenge. Whether on the open road or in the city, it is the perfect interplay of heartbeat, horsepower and exhilarating harmony.”
