UDC-2015

Polaris India has emerged triumphant in Ultimate Desert Challenge (UDC) 2015 with three Polaris drivers bagging the top three positions. Ace rallyist Raj Singh Rathore secured the pole position in the rally while the winner of Polaris Off-Roader Season 1, Kabir Waraich bagged the second   position. Gaurav Chiripal stood third in this keenly fought contest which concluded on December 6, 2015.

UDC 2015 which had Polaris India as the title sponsor was held in the outskirts of the beautiful dune country of Bikaner. An interesting combination of Off -Roading, All-terrain Driving and Navigational Challenges, the three day event, tested the mental and physical strength of the participants like none other. Every leg in Ultimate Desert Challenge 2015  had different kind of  terrain full of sand, rock and marshacting  as an ideal surrounding to measure the ability of the vehicle and the experience of the crew on board, alike.

“Three Polaris drivers in the top three positions – that’s a very good result for Polaris India. This triple success at Ultimate Desert Challenge (UDC) 2015 which comes straight after our victory at Raid de Himalaya is yet another testimony of the tough and rugged DNA of Polaris vehicles. We have achieved what we set out to accomplish and I am extremely satisfied with the result. I would like to congratulate Raj Singh Rathore, Kabir Waraich and Gaurav Chiripal for displaying the grit and determination to secure the top three positions. I commend the professionalism of these drivers,” said Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India.

UDC-2015-2

Polaris participated in this challenging and demanding speed event with seven high output RZR’s including six RZR S 800 and a RZR XP Turbo. More than 40 vehicles participated in UDC 2015 but victory smiled on ace rallyist, Raj Singh Rathore who clinched the overall victory with a lead time of 1min 16 sec driving a RZR XP Turbo. Kabir Waraich and Gaurav Chiripal drove a RZR S 800 to bag the second position and third position respectively. Kabir’s lead time was 3min 2 seconds.

Commenting on his victory, ace rallyist Raj Singh Rathore, said,” Ultimate Desert Challenge (UDC) is an all-terrain event never seen before. It has been an extremely positive rally for me, and I am really happy to finish it in the top position. We had a positive and a trouble-free rally and Polaris RZR XP Turbo has been very nice to drive. I don’t think I could have achieved this feat without Polaris. It was fun to be in the fight with fellow rallyists and I’d like to congratulate all of them for participating in what has been a very tough rally for each one of us.”
