BMW-M3-Sedan

WHEN: November 26, 2014

HOW MUCH: Rs 1 crore plus

ENGINES:  3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine which develops 431 PS and 550 Nm

COMPETITION: Audi RS5, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

German luxury carmaker BMW is gearing up to launch two M machines in India on November 26, 2014 - the M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe.

The BMW M3 features large air inlets, LED headlights, black double slats on the kidney grille complete with M emblem. The curved roof line combines the silhouette of a four-door sedan with the character of a high-performance sports car. Its black carbon roof gives the vehicle a lower-slung look, reduces its overall weight and lowers its centre of gravity – for even sportier driving. The Air Curtain and Air Breather with M gills add an aerodynamic finishing touch to the vehicle. At the rear, four bevelled tailpipes with their signature sound send out a clear message about its M lineage.

The motor sport character of the BMW M3 Sedan is consequently carried through in the interior. The new M seats with their shell shape and illuminated M logos offer perfect ergonomics and side stability. The flowing transition between the instrument panel and the centre console make the driver the focal point of the cockpit. Combined with the high-quality aluminium surfaces, this creates an ambience characterised by sportiness and technological progress that gets the driver’s pulse racing as soon as they get behind the wheel.

BMW-M3-Sedan-Side

To reach the absolute limit, you need absolute control. This is why all the functions in the cockpit of the BMW M3 Sedan are direct and intuitively reachable. The centrepiece is the M leather steering wheel. Here’s where you’ll find the M Drive buttons for activating your personalised vehicle setup and – for models with M double-clutch transmission – the gearshift paddles.

The instrument panel in the M design underscores the vehicle’s sportiness. And while you’re enjoying your drive, features like the BMW Head-Up Display with M-specific display ensure that all important information is always in your line of sight. This keeps your focus on the road and lets you concentrate on sporty driving.

BMW-M3-Sedan-Rear

The BMW M3 Sedan is powered by 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine which develops 431 PS and 550 Nm torque. The M engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. Bi-Turbo direct fuel injection and typical M fine-tuning ensure that the engine responds directly to the slightest nudge of the accelerator with enthusiastic boost and excellent torque.

BMW-M4-Coupe

The BMW M4 Coupe boasts of attention-grabbing good looks which is evident in every detail. Large air inlets in the front clarify the enormous volume of air that cools the M drive train during its high-performance journeys.

BMW-M4-Coupe-Side

The muscular powerdome delineates the contours of the turbocharger engine. And the extended bonnet is the beginning of an athletic coupe line that exudes pure sportiness. The Air Curtain and Air Breather ensure an aerodynamic touch. Like the M kidney grille with double slats, M gills, M exterior mirrors or the M twin tailpipe, they visually underline the dynamic appearance of the BMW M4 Coupe. At the rear, the four bevelled tailpipe finishers with their unmistakeable growl send out a clear message: This vehicle stands for unbeatable performance on the track and road.

In the vehicle’s interior, the redeveloped M seats with their shell shape and illuminated M logo await the driver and front passenger. They offer perfect side stability and a clever use of ergonomics enables a direct connection between driver and vehicle. All control elements in the cockpit are orientated around the driver and guarantee precise operation in split seconds. A round instrument display in a racing car look, M leather steering wheel and M gear shift lever finish off the package and leave no room for doubt.

BMW-M4-Coupe-Interior

The cockpit of the BMW M4 Coupe is direct and intuitively reachable. The centrepiece is the M leather steering wheel. Here’s where you’ll find the M Drive buttons for activating your personalised vehicle setup and – for models with M double-clutch transmission – the gearshift paddles.

Similar to the M3 Sedan, the instrument panel in the M4 Coupe features innovative tech features like the BMW Head-Up Display with M-specific display ensure that all important information is always in your line of sight. This keeps your focus on the road and lets you concentrate on sporty driving.

BMW-M4-Coupe-Rear

The BMW M4 Coupe is powered by 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine which develops 431 PS and 550 Nm torque. The M engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds (with M DCT with Drivelogic). Bi-Turbo direct fuel injection and typical M fine-tuning ensure that the engine responds directly to the slightest nudge of the accelerator with enthusiastic boost and excellent torque.

When launched in India later this month, we expect the both the BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe to be priced around Rs 1 crore.
