Nissan is looking ahead to cater the luxury SUV segment in India with Patrol. Nissan Patrol is available globally along with Juke, Qashqai, Xterra, Murano, Pathfinder and Armada. All these SUVs has cemented the auto maker in the SUV segment, however in India the Japanese automaker is yet to make a mark in this space. More of, Patrol will also be fruitful for the auto maker to restructure its brand image in the country, from just a budget car maker.




The luxury SUV will be brought to the Indian shore as a complete built-in unit (CBU) and can be expected to be priced in the bracket of Rs 80 - 95 lakh.




In all probability Nissan Patrol will be powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol capable of 446 PS and 570 Nm of torque. Based on a ladder frame, the Nissan Patrol will come mated to three different gearbox options, a 7-speed auto transmission with manual mode, a 6-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed automatic gearbox with manual mode.




To befit the vehicle as a perfect off-roader, Nissan Patrol will also come with features as a full-time 4WD system, Hill Start Assist, Hill Decent Control and big 18-inch alloy wheels. As far as safety is concerned, the Nissan Patrol to come equipped with Antilock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist as standard equipment. The top-end trim also gets Crash Sensitive Automatic Unlock System, Automatic Hazard Lighting System and more.
